However, this afternoon, browsing through the vineyards ... dismay! still a reminder of mother nature ... that we must reckon with it: hundreds of strains, all the young shoots are eaten up trunk. Hares, deer, no one knows yet, but what is certain is that these vines will not bear grapes this year! But the good news is this: The Savennières 2006 Chateau La Franchaie was selected for the year as one of the three best representatives of the Term for Savennières house wine at Angers, Saumur and Nantes showcase of wines from the Loire Valley. There is already offered for sale. Anjou Blanc 2008 has finally deigned to complete its malolactic fermentation (with arivée spring, the ancients said that Spring wine was beginning to "boil") and is available for sale to the field last week, the roses are in bottles. The wines this year are really pleasant, Anjou white is very expressive nose, Anjou red is delicious, very nice ... the roses is best for you to come discover them! Precisely, the OPEN DAY will be held Sunday, June 14 as usual with Friends craftsmen and food, and carriage rides in the vineyards, picnic area ... Good news also : Our Savennières 2006 has been selected for this year by "Maison des vins" of Angers, Saumur ans Nantes (Wine shop of all the Loire Valley vintners and wine merchants and coops) as one of the 3 best representatives for Savennières AOC.
The Anjou blanc finished his malo-lactic fermentation recently and is now available (it has been taking its time and Jean-Marc was worriing because a lot of people were waiting for their Anjou Blanc) This natural process was known by the ancients, saing that in spring the wine was starting again to "boil".
The 2008 wines are really pleasant, Anjou blanc is expressive, the red is seductive and the rosés are veru friendly! the best is that ou taste by yourself! We organise our annual summer Open-doors day on Sunday June 14th.
